Nung Weekend, nag Anilao ako with some friends . Sa Villa Trono kami nag stay (Owned by Romeo Trono - Country Exec. Dir. ng Conservation International Philippines).
Ok dun. 2k lang for the weekend and ang real come on nila is the architecture of the place (ifugao craftsmen ang gumawa ng bahay) and the food - never tasted so many exquisite flavors on a single trip before. They grow their own herbs!
Very pampered kami. They had 3 server ladies who attended to our every whim. The only thing is, yung air e sa labas kinukuha so P200 per tank ang gastos . Parang Dive and Trek na rin lumalabas ang gastos exept that, maraming point of interest yung place. There is a karaoke machine on a treehouse, a stage set for some acoustic jamming for those who like to play their own music, a rooftop bar with hammocks for those who want to take it all in under a clear night sky, a clear view of Gulugod mountain - you can grab the binoculars and watch mountaineers trace a line up the mountain.
We only dove once on the first day, and tatlo dinive namin on the second day.
On the first day, we dove Trono House Reef (75ft) which is a small swim away from the Cathedral. The dive was kinda sobering dahil: 1) underweighted ako by about 2 pounds and walang bato sa baba ... 2) nung chineck ko yung buddy ko e slightly open lang yung tank . 3) 10 minutes into the dive e parang naging pea soup yung tubig.
Next day e 3 dives kami: Cathedral (85ft) - After a while e biglang nag signal buddy ko na swim back na siya sa shallower portion. Ang bilis lumangoy so I thought na nag freak out or something. So akala niya out of air na siya. Sabi ko... "loser dude, Bar ang units mo. You've got like 1800 PSI pa. "
Twin Rocks (60ft) - Nandun yung large group of Jacks. ^_^ sweet. No weird incident. Marami lang mga DMs from other groups na kalembang ng kalembang ng tangke kaya nakakalito and nakakadistract. Marami sigurong pasaway silang dala.
Arthur's Rock (50ft) - ok yung mga malalaking fish dun ha. Nakikipagtitigan. May pagka moderately strong yung current kasi we have to stay close to the bottom para tumigil kami and look at some features of the wall. It was fun. Pero parang medyo matipid ata kaming lahat sa hangin kasi 50min na kami e more than 1000psi pa kaming lahat. (Teacher Wow, most of the time was spent at the shallows naman e <30ft kasi there are places there na almost 100% yung coverage ng mga corals e...sea of colors ika nga...)
