Thought I'd start a thread to see where it goes. What's you best purchase and worst purchase (so far)
Here is mine
Best: Suunto Gekko Dive Computer. Never dived without it since purchasing it
Worst: Snorkel... I don't use it when diving

Most of my purchases have been good ones, through lots of research and of course, the advice of our instructor. Best: Seaquest Pro QD BC (never had a problem in 9 years), Technisub Stratos fins (very efficient) Worst: Crappy LED light (from Bobot's favorite shop) which flooded after 5 minutes at 20 ft. The shop gave me a replacement, which also flooded on the first dive. Walang kwenta. Re: snorkels - I have long stopped bringing a snorkel on dives, but yesterday I just learned the best reason for using one. If you want to know, ask Charrie.

Hi Rodel! Miss ka na namin ni Yam. Nice thread, btw. ;D Best buy: my wet suit but forgot the brand (Sus!!! : . May mga butas na ang mga wet suits ng dive buddies ko, yung sa akin, wala pang katama-tama. And it's bargain price in Scubaworld Cebu (Plus the air fare?! bwahahaha ). My batingting which I had customized in a metal shop is San Pablo City (Super cheap!!!). I used it to anchor myself in the sand when current is strong or when I tend to shoot up, or push myself away from the corrals when I get too close (hmm, mag practice kasi ng bouyancy! Kulit!), or to call my dive buddies when I see something interesting, or when I'm in trouble, or just call Charrie when I start to miss her (Lab you Char! hehehe). Worst buy: my second booties which turned out maluwag pa rin. So I guess, that is more my fault than the brand (Hay naku! : .

Hi Matt. I consider my OMS BP/W a good buy and I think it's worth every cent I paid for it. However, I'm considering to replace it with a Zeagle Ranger Ltd just because of Zeagle's name and porma. Hahaha
I listed the Gekko as my best buy because I have used it on every dive since I bought it. And it is the only dive equipment that I would never leave behind no matter where I dive. In fact, I brought it here in the US just in case I dive here. Hehehe
